BunkBuds began as a simple conversation between me and a friend while struggling to find reliable roommates.

We realized how random, time-consuming, and unsafe the process often feels, especially for students and young professionals.

That frustration led us to design BunkBuds a swipe-based platform that helps people quickly find compatible and verified roommates.

PROCESS WORK OF THE PROJECT:

PROBLEM :

BunkBuds started with identifying a clear problem: many students moving to the city struggled to find compatible and trustworthy roommates.

RESEARCH:

To understand this better, we spoke with students who were coming to college but living off-campus and documented their experiences, frustrations, and expectations.

Alongside this, we conducted secondary research on existing roommate and housing platforms to understand gaps in usability, trust, and compatibility matching.

USER FLOW / WIREFRAMING:

Using these insights, we defined the core features and created basic user flows and low-fidelity wireframes to structure the experience.

CORE UI/UX:

From there, we moved into designing the UI and UX, developing the visual identity, logo, color system, and typography to establish the brand.

FINAL UX PROTOTYPE:

Finally, I built the interactive UX prototype in Figma to test how the product would function in a real user scenario.
